Hitchhiking, walking, cycling, riding: solo, female, & out for adventure.

This is the story of a trip, starting Africa-bound from Europe and heading around the world. Hitchhiking and walking are my main means, but anything goes. So far I have gone over 50,000 km. The route plan changes daily - if people live there (and even if they don't) it is possible to get there, and it will probably be worth it.

You can read through my BLOGS to get a feel for the journey, check out a little of what INSPIRES ME, because there are many other people who have and continue to do amazing things, or sift through some of the IDEAS that cross my mind while on the road.

Above all, COMMENT. It's always nice to share ideas and hear what you are thinking!

A voyage without destination, open to anything.

Update: I am looking for somewhere to stop and live for a few months! Suggestions would be great, and they should be in the Middle East/Central Asia part of the world. My goals are learning Russian, getting back into martial arts and fitness, working, and of course learning about a new culture in a more thorough way than usual. If anybody has any ideas or experience, please contact me!

Update: February 2012. I am back on the road, hitching and hiking through Europe in a general easterly direction. Going to miss Africa and the warm hearts that always welcomed me there, but new journeys await. Asia is a very, very big place.

Update: Kyle the goat, my faithful hitchhiking partner in Cameroon, is living a happy life in Belo. I left her there in the mountains with a girl named Carine, and she recently emailed with the news that Kyle has given birth to "a healthy he-goat".

Read more about Carine, her school, and the organization through which I met her on my Cameroon blog or at the Goodness and Mercy Missions website: www.gmmafrica.org.
